Smith United Methodist Church

Living next door to the church for many years, Mrs. Flowers gave regularly of her gifts and her presence. Even though she did not read music, she played the piano by ear and played for worship services when needed. She also sang in the choir and was known for her beautiful tenor voice. In later years she was confined to a nursing home, but she was remembered regularly by members of the congregation by visits, cards and gifts.
