Johnnie joined Smith Church after his marriage to Jessie Powell and became a member of the United Methodist Men. He was a member of the Adult Men’s class and regularly attended worship services, even after his failing health confined him to a wheelchair. He was always willing to support the work of the church with his gifts and his presence
