“Jim” Pearson never held a church office, but he and his seven sons were always there to help with the work of maintaining the church. He always had time for any person who needed help, and he was considered a mentor for the children and young people of the church. He helped move the Church from its original location to where it stands today.

Mrs. Pearson helped to form the Willing Workers Class and she did much to help support the Methodist Orphanage in Raleigh. She served as teacher for the Adult Women’s Class.
