George & Candace Hockaday Fulghum

George Fulghum was a Confederate veteran and avid supporter of the Lord’s work and Smith Church. He was instrumental in the building of the wooden structure which stood for many years. Mrs. Fulghum was involved in many aspects of the church’s work. Their children, Ada and Wesley continued to influence the church through the next generation.
