Smith United Methodist Church

Perhaps “Miss Fannie”’s best gift to Smith Church was her son, Elmo. A Sunday School teacher for 35 years, he served as lay leader and was a charter member of the United Methodist Men, where he held several offices. Elmo was also a longtime choir member. He served as the chairman of the Pastor-Parish Relations Committee.
Elmo’s contributions to Smith Church are too numerous to be listed here, but his legacy of service to his Lord remains in his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
