Edward Died 2008; Mildred Died 1991

Mildred spent most of her life at Smith Church. She participated as a teacher, attending and leading numerous study courses. She was a faithful member of the United Methodist Women, serving as president and supporting its work in various ways. She gave many gifts to the church, including a speaker’s stand and a framed color enlargement of a photo of a 1930’s Sunday School class taken in front of the old church building. It now hangs in one of the classrooms.

Edward,“Johnson”, as he was known, served on the Pastor Parish Relations Committee, Finance Committee, Worship Committee. He also sang in the choir and was Alternate Lay Member to the United Methodist Conference. He was also active in the Men’s Club.
