Donald was the son of Benjamin Clifton and Julia Pearson. He was a lifetime member of Smith Church. He served on the PPR, Parsonage and Maintenance Committees. He also served as President of the United Methodist Men and sang in the choir. He helped clear the land where the Men’s Club Activity Building now stands. After retiring from his job, Donald planted a garden and shared it with the widows of the church, family and friends. Donald was a man who quietly served the Lord and the church in many ways that were unknown to anyone except himself and the Lord.
