Mr. Garner served as an Official Board member for many years and also served as chairman. He was a steward and teacher of the Young Adult Men’s Sunday School class.
He was considered by many young people of the church as their mentor. He was one of the charter members of the United Methodist Men.
Mrs. Garner was teacher of the Young Adult Ladies’ Class. She served as leader of the Willing Workers Club which later became the Women’s Society of Christian Service. She was often called upon to play the piano.
